The Five Dimensions of Human Destiny
Traditional Yoruba ontology describes human destiny as a symphony of five distinct spiritual components:

- ◈Àkúnlẹ̀gbà (Received Heritage): The ancestral genetic lineage, environmental circumstances, and physical boundaries granted to the soul upon incarnation.
- ◈Orí-Inú (Inner Spiritual Head): The personal divine intelligence residing within the crown of the head that navigates daily decisions and responds to spiritual remedies.
- ◈Orí-Àpẹrẹ (Archetype of Victory): The highest celestial standard of success and spiritual perfection that the individual is destined to manifest on Earth.
Àtúnwá: Ancestral Reincarnation
Unlike Eastern philosophies that view reincarnation as a punitive wheel of consequence and retribution (Ìká), Traditional Ifá views as a sacred cycle of ancestral continuity. Ancestors who lived with honor, virtue, and fulfilled their earthly mission return through their descendants to bless and guide the lineage.
This sacred continuity explains names like Bàbátúndé ("Father has returned") and Yétúndé ("Mother has returned"), affirming that life in the Akurẹ́ tradition is an eternal unbroken chain of family consciousness.
