— Akurẹ́ Sacerdotal DecreeWe respect the historical struggle of our ancestors in the diaspora. Yet the time of masking has ended. Truth requires returning to the pure, unadulterated root of Ìṣẹ̀ṣe L'ágbà.
Foundational Differences: Origin vs Syncretism

The Fallacy of the "Guardian Angel"
One of the most widespread distortions in syncretic practice is the Catholic concept of a "Guardian Angel" assigned as an external owner of the head. In Ìṣẹ̀ṣe L'ágbà, the supreme ruler of a human life is Orí-Inú.
An Òrìṣà (such as Ọ̀ṣun, Ògún, or Ṣàngó) is an ancestral cosmic force of nature that may support or defend a person's life, but the Òrìṣà never replaces or owns the Orí. Every traditional Babaláwo in Nigeria is initiated into the full corpus of Ọ̀rúnmìlà, answering directly to the wisdom of the 16 Ikin.
IFA Sudamérica exists to restore direct, unbroken lineage access to traditional Nigerian Ifá for the Spanish and English-speaking worlds. We do not practice Santería, do not venerate Catholic icons, and do not compromise on the ancient sacerdotal protocols of Akurẹ́.
