Ebọ acts as the precise medium of reconciliation. By offering specific physical elements prescribed by the Odù (seeds, animals, cloths, food, and sacred herbs), the individual restores balance with the forces governing their life.
The Triad of Resolution: Odù, Ebọ, and Èṣù
The execution of authentic Ebọ involves three indispensable components:
- The Governing Odù: Diagnosed during Dáfá, indicating the exact items and procedures required by ancestral precedent.

Ebọ is not a vague 'energetic cleansing' or mental visualization. It is a legally binding liturgical contract between the consultant's Orí, the 401 Irúnmọlẹ̀, and the physical cosmos. Without proper sacerdotal lineage authority, ritual actions cannot awaken the Aṣẹ required for transformation.

In the royal Falodun lineage of Akurẹ́, every Ebọ is conducted strictly according to ancient protocols.
